I went to another piercer on my birthday because it was cheap and felt safe, only to end up with an infection. That piercer ghosted me after I asked her about my piercing.

Luckily I discovered Akimi Studio. Miko did my troubleshooting. She was very gentle and accommodating; I felt really safe compared to my last piercer. Miko explained to me that what was used on my helix was unsafe and unhygienic, which led to my ear infection. She even recommended that I go to a doctor for further consultations and medical advice.

My infection got better after the troubleshooting and medicine, but it didn't fully heal (I think it was too infected na when I went to Miko that's why di na fully nawala yung nana, but Miko's troubleshooting relieved it naman in some way kaso it needed further medical solution na)

I'm really grateful for Miko's endless replies when I kept on asking questions about my piercing. I felt her concern, and I also felt relieved about the continuous insight about my ear. Still, I ended up removing my helix and having minor surgery due to my first piercer.

LESSON LEARNED: INVEST IN PIERCERS WITH TITANIUM AND IMPLANT-GRADE PIERCINGS, AN AUTOCLAVE, AND A REALLY, REALLY ACCOMMODATING PIERCER. Mas malaki gastos if ma-hosp because of cheap piercing guys, kay Miko na kayo di kayo igghost nyan after piercing.

all tools are properly autoclaved, sealed, and opened in front of you. they use sterile, single-use needles and high-quality jewelry, so you really feel safe the entire time & you can tell they take hygiene seriously.

the piercer is knowledgeable, gentle, and really takes their time to ensure correct placement and safety. aftercare instructions were also explained clearly.
